Where You Learn the Value of Financial Education

Becoming Rich is Near Impossible as an Employee

Have you heard this common advice before? Work hard, get good grades in school, get a high paying job, save and earn more money? That is great advice if you want to be an employee but if you want to be an entrepreneur. Infact, schools discourage creativity, which is the meat of an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is something that challenges every day ideas and comes up with new ideas for a better way of life. The financial aspects of being an entrepreneur are also better, if you can get your business off the ground.

Becoming rich is a great dream but how often do we try to go after it? If we want to actually succeed at becoming rich, we have to learn to work for ourselves and not others. Learn to work because we want to, and not only because of the money. And that is hard to do as an employee because the game of life is rigged against us.

Most of the time, hard work is required to achieve anything in life. However, working hard as an employee is not that good because all of the tax laws are written against employees. Therefore, trying to become rich by working for someone else is foolhardy. The more money the employee makes, the more taxes they have to pay. The well known investor Warren Buffett is a multimillionaire and yet he pays less taxes than his secretary? Why is that? Because he gets his money from his business and investments, not from his job.

So what can we do? Simple, we need to find more ways of creating passive income, money we don’t need to work for. If we have a job, we should be doing said job because we want to, not because of the money. If we have to work for money, we are bound to work for it forever. But if we can create passive income, we won’t have to work anymore. In order to do that, we need to create our own business and make our own investments. We need to make money via other means than job-related if we are to become rich.
